Why did my fax fail?
.FaxSalad uses the following three statuses for failed faxes: No-answer. This status indicates that we received no response from the receiving end and can often be caused by issues such as; the receiving number being disconnected, or the receiver is experiencing high traffic and is unable to respond on time. Waiting for a few minutes and reattempting the fax will often resolve the issue. If the fax continues to fail, we advise contacting the receiving party. Busy This status is generally received when the receiving end rejects the inbound fax with a busy signal and can be the result of numerous issues including but not limited to; high traffic congestion, paper jams, hardware issues. Waiting for a few minutes and reattempting the fax will often resolve the issue. If the fax continues to fail, we advise contacting the receiving party. Failed A fax will be marked as ‘failed’ when there is an issue with the FaxSalad service or the formatting of your uploaded media. To resolve the issue please check that the uploaded file is:
  • in a valid file format supported by the FaxSalad service;
  • not encrypted or password protected (only relevant to PDF documents);
  • correctly sized for faxing. A4, letter or US legal;
If you continue to experience issues, please reach out to our support team.
