Is it safe to send a fax with your service?
Yes, even more so than using a traditional fax line. Faxes sent with FaxSalad are encrypted and transmitted securely.

How are my faxes stored?
All fax media is encrypted and stored on secure servers. Media will be available within the FaxSalad portal for a period of up to 3 months. After such time, this media is permanently removed from FaxSalad's servers and can not be retrieved.
If you do not want your faxes stored on FaxSalad's servers, you have the option of deleting media upon receipt. You can enable this within your fax number configuration.

How long are faxes stored for?

If you wish to maintain copies of your faxes for longer than three months, then we advise that you download them from the portal and store them externally.

Do I need to comply with any legislation when I send fax marketing?
Yes. The rules depend on your country of location, and you are responsible for making yourself aware of these rules and regulations.
If you are in the United States, sending unsolicited fax marketing is restricted under the Federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act. In the European Union, this is covered by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and the Fax Marketing Industry Standard 2011 within Australia.
